Alice Charity helps to move families in crisis forward from a dark place to a brighter future. Their flexible and respectful services are available to any family in Stoke-on Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Since Gamesys Group maintains a large office in the area, the work done by Alice Charity is close to our hearts!

One of the main aims of Alice Charity is to break the cycle of poverty, ensuring that the impacts of such hardships have as little effect on children as possible. This is achieved through a wide variety of services including regular emotional and well-being support, essential skill development, and emergency food parcels.

This worthy cause was selected by the Gamesys Foundation to receive a sizable contribution each year for 3 consecutive years. The donated funds will be put towards paying for the charity’s core costs; a welcome relief considering global health pandemic of 2020 has seen Alice Charity’s normal revenue streams decline, whilst demand for their services has been on a marked increase.

“We cannot thank you enough. This donation comes at a time when it is most needed. Sadly, too many vulnerable and disadvantaged have been disproportionately affected by the Coronavirus crisis but with your help we are still able to support them.”

Steph Talbot, CEO, Alice Charity

During Christmas period 2020, Alice Charity distributed 157 food hampers which fed a staggering 379 children and 218 adults locally. The Charity supported local families and agencies with an incredible 5493 Christmas presents. Local agencies received 897 Teenage gift bags and 2865 gifts. Alice families received 198 Teenage gift bags and 1533 gift.

Their #GivingTuesday campaign was an incredible success and enabled us to purchase 14 new cookers for local families.

“All this was possible thanks to the support and generosity that we have received from companies like The Gamesys Foundation @GamesysFDN thanks a million!”
